Before transitioning into pop sound with 2014’s “1989” and 2017’s “Reputation,” Swift released two more country albums, “Speak Now” and “Red.” In 2019, her album “Lover” debuted at number one on the Billboard charts, making it her sixth consecutive number one album.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Swift explored indie folk style with the critically acclaimed albums “Folklore” and “Evermore” in 2020. Her tenth album, “Midnights,” became the best-selling album of 2022.
After the success of her first albums, Swift announced plans to re-record all of her music, which she began releasing in 2021.
